A fresh flavoured, easy and ready to drink, slightly lively wine that, although less robust, conserves the typical characteristics of the Barbera d’Alba and suitable both for drinking at the table as well as between meals. Produced in Roero, a land of ancient marine origin, rich in sand and minerals, give this wine all the aromas and flavours necessary for a good wine.
Grape variety: Barbera
Geographical Location: In the municipality of Canale (CN).
Vineyard characteristics: Hilly well exposed vineyards of variable age. The soil is sandy. The vines are trained with the Guyot system.
Vinification: Pressing and destalking of the manually harvested and perfectly ripe grapes. Fermentation with maceration on the skins for a few days. Drawing off and immediate control of the malolactic fermentation
Maturation and aging: The new wine is racked several times and stored in tanks for 5-6 months, then the lively wine is bottled in 1.5 litre and 75 cl bottles, the still wine in 2 litre bottles and some kept in tanks for bulk sale.
Organoleptic characteristics: Bright ruby red colour, characteristic winy aroma with hints of jam and spices; fresh and well bodied flavour, with an evident and lively acidity.
Accompaniments: Excellent with appetizers, soups, risottos and cold cuts.
Served at 16 – 18 °C.
