Pleasant red wine, lively and young, got from the vinification of barbera grapes, cultivated on the sunny hills of Cisterna d’Asti and Canale It is slightly lively.
Grape variety: Barbera.
Geographical location: Cisterna d’Asti and Canale (CN) Piedmont, Italy
Vineyard characteristics: Well-exposed and hilly vineyards of variable age. The soil is dry, sandy and rich in minerals. The vines are cultivated with the Guyot system.
Vinification: De-stemming and crushing of the manually harvested and perfectly ripe grapes. Must fermentation with skin contact for 5-7 days. Racking and immediate control of the malolactic fermentation. Refermentation in autoclave till 0,8 bar of pression.
Maturation and aging: The new wine is decanted several times, and it remains 6-7 months in tanks – 50% vetrified cement and 50% steel tanks. Finally it is bottled, slightly lively.
Organoleptic characteristics: Ruby red colour; a vinous and persistent fragrance; dry, warm and full flavour, nicely lively.
Served at 16-18°C.
Accompaniments: Suitable for the whole meal.
