Terre Alfieri Arneis Superiore “San Pancrazio”
denominazione di origine controllata e garantita
White wine produced from 100% Arneis grapes from the best exposed Cisterna d’Asti vineyards. It takes its name from the small chapel close to the vineyards. The wine ages for 12 months in barrique.
Grape variety: 100% Arneis.
Geographical location: Cisterna d’Asti (CN) Piedmont, Italy.
Vineyard characteristics: Arneis vineyards better exposed, with loose and extremely sandy soils. The vines are cultivated with the Guyot system.
Vinification: The grapes are harvested by hand with extreme delicacy. They are then pressed and macerated for 12 hours in the press. The must ferments for 10-15 days in the new French oak barrels and continues aging on its lees in the same barrels for 12 months.
Organoleptic characteristics: Straw yellow wine with golden reflections. The nose opens on fragrant hints of yellow flowers, citrus and candied fruit. The mouth is warm, enveloping, with excellent persistence while maintaining a good acid and saline freshness.
Serve at 10-12°C.
